H&W: HSA Contribution Limits for 2015
HSA Contribution Limits:
HSA (health savings account) cost-of-living contribution and coverage adjustments for 2015 have just been issued in Revenue Procedure 2014-30. The new limits for calendar year 2015 are as follows:
HSA Annual Contribution Limitation
Self-Only Coverage: $3,350 – up from $3,300 in 2014
Family Coverage: $6,650 – up from $6,550 in 2014
Catch-up Contribution: $1,000 – unchanged from 2014 HSA contributions can only be made by individuals enrolled in a high deductible health plan. For calendar year 2015, a high deductible health plan is defined as a health plan with:
Minimum Annual Deductible
Self Only Coverage: $1,300 – up from $1,250 in 2014
Family Coverage: $2,600 – up from $2,500 in 2014
Maximum Annual Out-of-Pocket Expenses
Self-Only Coverage: $6,450 – up from $6,350 in 2014
Family Coverage: $12,900 – up from $12,700 in 2014
